The shape, in addition to suggesting a fluid movement, is also functional: the raised edge allows you to repair the rear part from splashes, and envelops the face and hands during the use.
The water flows into the double bottom of the washbasin, with no visible drainage elements.
The choice of designing a washbasin with this material is more than congenial: Staron is resistant and easy to care mining material, with high hygiene requirements and great resistance to chemicals. The particular shape and the curves in relief are made by thermoforming, in the total absence of leaks or discontinuities of the material.
The master of fluidity is without a doubt Ron Arad, an Israeli designer. The washbasin is in fact strongly inspired by his Tom Vac Chair, one of the most famous design pieces in the world. The least that could be done was therefore to pay homage to him with the same name. Nothing is created, nothing is destroyed and everything is transformed.
